1. Subject matter and scope
These terms and conditions govern vacation rental reservations for the Château in Collias, located at 8 and 10 Place du Château, 30210 Collias, operated by SNC CEDIPA, registered with the Nîmes Trade and Companies Register under number 421 935 099, hereinafter referred to as «the Lessor.» The individual or legal entity that accepts the quote or signs the contract is hereinafter referred to as «the Guest.».
They supplement the estimate, the rental contract and, where applicable, the specific terms and conditions or annexes relating to an event. In the event of a contradiction, the specific terms and conditions expressly accepted by the parties shall prevail for the point in question.
2. Description of the castle and the rented spaces
The Château in Collias is a historic estate with a history spanning nearly a thousand years. Fully restored, it is located near Uzès and the Pont du Gard. The property features fourteen guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, accommodating up to twenty-eight guests, as well as large reception rooms, a dining room, a billiards room, terraces, a courtyard, grounds covering approximately four hectares, an outdoor pool, and a pool house.
The spaces actually included in each rental are those indicated in the quote and the contract. Technical rooms, storage areas, offices, and closed areas are not included. The professional kitchen is not part of the spaces included in the private hire; for a wedding or an event, its use is subject to an additional rental fee.
3. Privatisation and capacity
The Château in Collias is always rented on an exclusive, private basis. No other groups are accommodated during the guest’s stay. The minimum rental period is three nights. 8-bedroom package: accommodates up to 16 people. 14-Bedroom Package: Accommodates up to 28 people. Exceeding the capacity or inviting outside guests is not permitted without prior written consent. The 8-Bedroom Package includes thirty guests; beyond that, each additional guest is charged €80, up to a maximum of eighty people present.
4. Formation of the reservation
The reservation becomes firm when the Lessor has received the accepted quote or contract and the first deposit required, within the specified timeframe. Failing this, the dates may be made available again. The sums paid in advance constitute deposits and not earnest money, and are deducted from the total price.
5. Price and services
The total price including all taxes, the duration, the configuration, and the included services are specified in the quote. The price includes the provision of the premises, water and electricity for normal use, the provided linens, as well as the standard initial and final cleaning. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not included: tourist tax, daily cleaning, kitchen cleaning, meals, drinks, chef or caterer, service staff, additional furniture, tent, technical equipment, transportation, and activities.
6. Terms of Payment
The amount of the first deposit, the intermediate payment dates, and the balance due date are indicated on the quote. Payment is made by bank transfer or secure payment link. Failing payment by the due date, the Lessor may, after a formal notice remains without effect, cancel the reservation and apply the cancellation conditions.
7. Security deposit
A security deposit of €4,000 is required no later than upon arrival, by credit card pre-authorization, bank transfer, or any other accepted means. It does not constitute a limitation of liability. Subject to the departure inspection, it is refunded within a maximum of fourteen days after departure; in the event of damage or invoices to be issued, within thirty days at the latest, minus justified deductions.
8. Cancellation by the Client
Any cancellation must be notified in writing. Unless more favorable special conditions apply: more than ninety days before arrival, the first deposit is retained by the Lessor; ninety days or less before arrival, the full price remains due; in the event of a no-show or early departure, no refund is due. If the property is re-rented for the same dates, the net sums received will be deducted. Taking out cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
9. Cancellation by the Landlord
Except in cases of force majeure or default by the Client, if the Lessor cancels before the check-in, they shall fully refund the sums received as soon as possible and at the latest within fourteen days.
10. Rules of conduct and conduct of the stay
Arrival and departure at the times indicated in the contract. A late departure may be charged 50 € per room. A list of occupants must be provided to the Landlord prior to arrival. Dogs are allowed. The Guest is responsible for any damage caused to the premises and equipment during the stay.
11. Music and neighbors
Music can be played outside until midnight; after that, the party continues inside. The castle is located in the heart of a village, and this rule makes it possible to host events while respecting the neighbors.
12. External service providers
The Client directly selects and pays their service providers (chef, caterer, florist, wedding planner, etc.), without any commission from the Lessor. Outside service providers operate under the Client's responsibility and are assisted according to the agreed terms.
13. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts.
